Letter to the community on behalf of Moriah Doughty

June 2009

When good people of our community suffer unfortunate tragedy, we have a history of responding to the call and standing up to help. Just such an opportunity is being extended to you right now as your fellow Bloomfield friends and neighbors are responding to help Moriah Doughty. Moriah is a precious 13 year old who suffers from paralysis from the chest down as a result of an automobile accident last winter. She is a courageous young lady who despite the seriousness of her injuries has regained some use of her arms and is developing "a good grip" according to her Aunt, Julie Kirby.

Through diligent rehabilitation, Moriah can now use a wheelchair and has vowed to her parents that she will walk again. That kind of Bloomfield spirit and courage cannot be ignored by the leaders of our town. ParagonForce, Inc., J.R. and Sherri Davis’ new company, is currently organizing a full complement of builder and suppliers determined to remodel Moriah's home in a way that will make all of its features available to her. Fellow companies in the area have responded as we expected by stepping forward with extraordinary donations to the project such as carpet, bathroom tile, roofing materials, trusses and pledges of labor.

Having all the necessary materials and some of the labor in-hand leaves us with only a need of some funding to get this job done. We want this project to be 100% funded by donations and are so serious that our group at ParagonForce will match dollar for dollar all cash donations to complete this most important community effort. As a company, all of our time is donated and all of our people are signed on as volunteers.

Now we turn to the fine people of Bloomfield to make this recovery of quality of life for Moriah Doughty a reality. Stand with us, each to their own ability, and together we will make a difference in our community.

J. R. and Sherri Davis
